We’re excited to announce the latest update to Oculus Developer Hub (ODH). This release includes several new capabilities to facilitate and improve daily development workflows.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Support for multiple connected headsets

  • Deeper Configuration options for OVR Metrics

  • Screenshot actions: quick copy and re-capture

Multiple Headset Support

ODH now makes it easier to work across multiple headsets. When you have multiple headsets connected to ODH, you can now use a new dropdown menu to change the active device. All of the device action buttons and toggles will intuitively control your active device. This is a significant improvement for multi-headset workflows such as developing across both Oculus Quest and Quest 2 or multiplayer testing scenarios.

OVR Metrics UI

OVR Metrics is a tool to display real-time performance graphs and stats in-headset. You will need to install OVR Metrics on your headset in order to take advantage of this useful feature, and you can do so directly from ODH. The new OVR Metrics UI within ODH gives you access to a wide range of configuration options, such as enabling or disabling graphs and stats across more than 40 different performance metrics. There are three built-in presets to quickly enable a good set of metrics for different use cases.

Screenshot Quick Actions

Screenshot capture in ODH allows you to quickly capture a still image of your headset display. There are now two additional quick actions to further facilitate screenshot workflows. A new “Copy to clipboard” button allows you to easily paste the captured screenshot into other apps. The new re-capture button allows you to quickly take a new screenshot without closing the existing screenshot preview.

We hope you enjoy Update 1.5, and we look forward to your feedback! If you haven’t already downloaded ODH, you can do so for Windows or macOS. Learn more in the ODH Documentation.
