Oculus Quest Development

All Oculus Quest developers MUST PASS the concept review prior to gaining publishing access to the Quest Store and additional resources. Submit a concept document for review as early in your Quest application development cycle as possible. For additional information and context, please see Submitting Your App to the Oculus Quest Store.

Store Requirements and Guidelines

We provide content guidelines and app technical and performance requirements in an effort to be as transparent as possible. The following sections describe the various requirements and link to more details.

Content Guidelines

The content guidelines provide Oculus policies for the type of content and marketing materials allowed in the Oculus Store. See, Content Guidelines.

Data Use Checkup

If your app uses platform features such as achievement, leaderboards or add-on content, you must complete a Data Use Checkup prior to app submission. For more information, see Complete a Data Use Checkup.

Virtual Reality Checks (VRCs)

Virtual Reality Checks provide detailed technical and performance requirements for Oculus apps. There are separate requirements by device. For more information, see:

Asset Guidelines

In addition to the content guidelines, Oculus provides specific asset composition requirements for image sizes and bleed areas. See the Oculus Store Asset Guidelines for example assets and best practices.
