Additional Oculus Resources for Unity Developers
This guide describes additional tools and SDKs that Oculus provides for Unity developers.
- The Meta XR Platform SDK supports features related to security, community, revenue, and engagement such as matchmaking, in-app purchase, entitlement check, VoIP, and cloudsaves. For more information about the Platform Unity plugin, go to Platform Solutions developer guide.
- The Meta Avatars SDK is a separate Meta SDK package that enables developers to provide user-created Meta Avatars to increase social presence and enhance VR immersion. Avatars are provided as modularized full-bodied torsos that allow users the flexibility to create their own unique identity persistent across the Meta ecosystem. Leveraging advanced body tracking, realistic Avatar poses can be extrapolated from the Meta headset and Touch controllers to provide users a sense of self in a VR world. For more information, see our Meta Avatars SDK developer guide.
- Meta XR Audio SDK: a plugin that provides easy-to-use high-quality audio spatialization. For more information about using the Meta XR Audio SDK, go to the Meta XR Audio SDK for Unity developer guide for more information.
- Oculus OVRLipSync: is a plugin for animating avatar mouths to match speech sounds (Unity 5.1 or later).
- Oculus OVRVoiceMod: a plugin used to modify audio signals, making a person’s voice sound like a robot, for example, or changing their voice from male to female, or vice-versa (Unity 5 or later).
