Users, Friends, and Relationships

You can access information about a user, their relationship with friends, and their recent encounters in VR.

Use the User object and related APIs to retrieve information about your players to customize their experience, help them find their friends, and then join them in social VR experiences with Rooms.

Data Use Checkup

Note that this feature accesses user data and may require you to complete the Data Use Checkup form prior to submitting your app to the Oculus Store. For more information, see Complete a Data Use Checkup.

User and Friends

To retrieve the user’s Oculus Id and Oculus Name to display, add the Get Oculus Identity node to your blueprint. The Oculus Id is available synchronously after Login() is called, while the Oculus Name is available asynchronously after OnLoginComplete() returns.
