Get Guardian Dimensions

Returns the dimensions of the Outer Boundary or the Play Area, expressed in UE4 units.

Overview

This Blueprint only works with the Oculus Rift, since it retrieves information related to the Oculus Guardian, which is only meaningful when positional tracking is available, i.e. when 6DOF (six degrees of freedom) support is provided by the product.

This Blueprint retrieves a vector consisting of three numbers which represent the width, height, and depth of either 1) the outer boundary for the Guardian area; or 2) the Play Area, which is a rectangle within the Outer Boundary.

Blueprint

Arguments

  • Boundary Type - An enum representing the type of boundary dimensions requested. It may be set to:
    • “Outer Boundary” - The exact bounds of the Oculus Guardian area.
    • “Play Area” - A rectangle within the Outer Boundary.

Output

  • If Play Area is selected: A vector consisting of three numbers which represent the dimensions (width, height, depth) of the axis-aligned bounding box that encloses the play area, expressed in UE4 units. The play area is a rectangle within the Outer Boundary.
  • If Outer Boundary is selected: A vector consisting of three numbers which represent the dimensions (width, height, depth) of the axis-aligned bounding box that encloses the outer boundary, expressed in UE4 units.
