Oculus Start is your membership to the next level of access, support and savings from our team. Links to all the pertinent benefits are below. We'll update this page each month with any new offerings, news and member spotlights! If you can't find what you're looking for, contact an Oculus Support Agent for more info.
Hardware: Based on your application acceptance, your Rift and/or Go kits will be shipped on a rolling basis this year. Of course, we appreciate your patience as deliveries can take some time. We look forward to your unboxing picts and videos. Please be sure to indicate that this is a #sponsored post or #gift from Oculus in any postings online or in print to help ensure compliance with FTC brand guidelines.
A note on Hardware Access: Oculus Quest developer kits are very limited. Should this change in the future, we will be sure to let the Oculus Start community know first. We encourage you to develop for 6DOF by building your app for the Oculus Rift, from which you can migrate to the Oculus Quest with some optimization and integration changes.
Betas: We don't have any beta tools or services launching yet but keep an eye out on your inbox for invitations in the coming months.
News: Unity has generously offered Oculus Start members a significant discount on their new XR courses at Coursera. For a very limited time, Unity is offering you a 60% discount on two courses that will help you make the most of Unity Plus. Note: One discount per course, per learner. Find details and sign up instructions for both Mobile VR App Development with Unity and Introduction to XR: VR, AR, and MR Foundations. Be sure to not miss this opportunity to grow your Unity Plus XR expertise! In other news, the Indie Megabooth team plans to open up their application process for PAX and GDC consideration. Submissions for PAX East 2019 and GDC 2019 will open on October 15, 2018. More details on the Indie Megabooth site. Please note that your VR application must be finished to apply.
