When you app is approved and it has been released for public distribution, you should monitor the analytics provided in the Oculus developer dashboard. You can use this data to make updates to your app that can improve its reviews and popularity. You can also use Oculus platform features to help improve your app’s discoverability.
The Oculus dashboard provides information such as how many users have installed or used your app in the last month. You can use this data to help improve your apps usage and performance.
Access the Analytics dashboard by signing into your account and navigating to https://dashboard.oculus.com/. Find your app and select Analytics.

Some metrics in the overview section of your app dashboard include:
Installs Last 28 Days Demonstrate app popularity. This graph shows how many times your app is installed by week. Graph spikes could be due to a launch or app promotion. If you see a dip in the graph, you should investigate its cause to help avoid dips in the future.
Active Users Last 28 Days Provides the number of core users. This is the number of people who have used the app in the last 28 days. This graph can reflect seasonality or weekday behavior trends. You can use this graph to align promotions around usage spikes to increase usage.
Average Time Spent Last 28 Days Demonstrates engagement. If your app is lengthy, average time spent should reflect the appropriate usage as time spent. You’ll be able to determine how long people are spending in your app and whether that aligns with the expectations for this app.
Average User Rating Last 28 Days Demonstrates user sentiment. Reviews provide a way to get feedback and interact with the people who are experiencing your app. User ratings can help guide you about what to do next, and what features to add to your app.
Note: You should try to have a high number of reviews and high ratings. You should encourage users to review your app after they have some amount of time in your app.
Additional metrics include performance indicators such as Revenue, Client Lost Frames, and more.
Analytics provides some data about how your app is performing and how users are interacting with your app, but user reviews and feedback can help to give context to these measurements and help provide a more comprehensive view of steps you can take to improve satisfaction with your app.
It is important that you monitor reviews that your app receives and respond to them if appropriate. Reviews can be found in the developer dashboard by selecting your app and choosing User Reviews in the left hand navigation menu. You can respond to reviews by clicking the Respond button in the Response column of the User Reviews page. When you respond to users, make sure you are courteous and respectful even if the feedback is negative.
For more details about reviews, see Reviews.
You can optionally gather feedback from fellow developers by posting to the Oculus Forums. The developer community is a valuable resource for feedback, suggested improvements, and as beta testers that can help you vet content updates or new projects.
The developer dashboard provides some discoverability features such as app promotions and events to help people discover your app.
Promotions are a great way to introduce new users to your app. Promotions can generate new interest in the app and help to drive revenue. When you are approved for a promotion, your app will appear in the Promotions section on the Oculus Store, will be listed alongside other apps participating in the same promotion, and a sale badge will be added to your app thumbnail.
To apply for store-wide promotions, navigate to the developer Dashboard > Manage > Settings > Promotions. This page displays upcoming and past promotions. To join a promotion click the ellipses button (...) for the promotion and select Join Promotion.
Your request will be reviewed and you will be notified if your app is accepted into the promotion. Please note that you cannot participate in promotions more than 3 consecutive times per title.
If you have any questions about the promotions process or would like to discuss individual app promotions, please contact our submissions team at submissions@oculus.com.
Time-specific gatherings within your app can be featured with Events, which help people discover your app. For example, you might want to host a tournament or competition in your game, throw a launch party for new content or launch unique content to align with a conference. When you create events, they show up in both Oculus Home and in the Oculus 2D app. They are visible to everyone, not just people that have downloaded your app. People can also subscribe to receive notifications for app events.
